Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation is the only electronic media institute

Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation has secured its international super brand status for three more years. The SLRC is the only national institute which has gained this international status.

Super brand international institute operating in 46 countries is responsible in selecting the institution of excellence in various spears and awarding the super brand status. Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation is the only electronic media institute which has gained the super brand status in Sri Lanka. The SLRC has received this prestigious rank due to its maintainence of high telecasting status and its technical level of excellence as well as the capturing of 30 percent of the electronic media advertising market and recording revenue of over one billion rupees for three consecutive years. Singer Sri Lanka, Hatton National Bank, Holcim, Panadol, Sampath Bank, Sri Lanka insurance company and Sri Lanka cricket were the other institutes which received the super brand status yesterday.

‘Ru Sara’ completes one year on Rupavahini

Ru Sara’ , a musical extravaganza featuring popular Sinhala, Hindi and Tamil film songs , is being telecast on Rupavahini every Saturday at 7.30 am.

’Ru Sara’ is compered and presented by Nilar A. Cassim reaches the anniversary milestone.

Produced by Arosha Samaradiwakara, this novel presentation of this programmes has attracted audiences to flock round. The programme colours with both old and latest hits are presented with interesting information and background details on the films, directors, singers and actors.

‘That this programme receives good response had been proved with the number of calls and the encouraging letters we receive’ said Nilar on whose concept the programme was started.

Throughout the year the programme was changed adding novelty to it and to be presented with an innovative manner.
